Hello everyone,

The association Centre Culturel “Gilbert de Venables” (aka CCGV) in
Venables, France, is seeking individuals interested in or connected to
the name Venables. Venables is a charming village located in the
Normandy region, west of Paris.

In 1066, a young man named Gilbert from Venables joined William the
Conqueror’s troops at the Battle of Hastings. Following their victory,
Gilbert and his descendants established themselves in England, with his
lineage becoming the Barons of Kinderton, near what is now the village
of Middlewich.

If you are interested in learning more about Gilbert’s history or
conducting genealogical research on your ancestors, please get in touch
with us or visit our website.

Venables (pronounced in an English sort of way, whereas I assume your
village is pronounced as French) is surname in England. I wouldn't call
it common, but it not very uncommon either. Some people with the name
are listed at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Venables, most of them
still alive. I expect that with a bit of searching you can find one
with an email address.

Maybe better, try https://www.wikitree.com/genealogy/VENABLES
