Just noticed that the Manx newspaper archive is free access during
lockdown though this is the archive itself.
Including soc.genealogy.britain, as the above information may be of
interest there! (Probably the long URL less so, but the short one.)
I know the name but can't place him!

Listen, three-eyes, don't you try to out-wierd me, I get stranger things than
you free with my breakfast cereal. (Zaphod Beeblebrox in the link episode)

Ha! I was just about to post to say that Leics Libraries has done a
deal with Findmypast to make FMP accessible to Leics Libraries members
at home FOC, normally only accessible on the premises, for the
duration of the lockdown.
I suspect the same or similar might be the case for other libraries.
(Living in Leicester I wasn't previously a member of Leics but
discovered that I qualified and was able to enrol online. Leicester
gives me access to the Times from home.)
Kicking myself for not having mentioned this before.

HES have made SCRAN available free, already available to anyone with a
Scottish library membership but now anyone can request free access until
some date in July.

I was going to ask what they were, but thought I'd look instead: HES is
historic environment Scotland, and a URL is
https://www.historicenvironment.scot/archives-and-research/archives-and-collections/scran/
. I can't see what SCRAN actually stands for, but apparently it's an
"online learning resource". With lots.

War doesn't determine who's right. War determines who's left.

The advantage with David Attenborough is that people just want to hear him
talk. About anything.
