For the mother's maiden name try one of the sites I gave you yesterday
and if you're lucky they'll have married after civil registration
began, if not, you'll need t buy one of the children's birth
certificates.

Since you're now back into parish registers, there may be nothing
available online.

You could try www.familysearch.com but be very cautious about
accepting any patron submissions on the IGI. They range from total
accuracy to guesswork to pure fantasy. If you don't get any joy
there, I'd suggest joining the Cornish mailing lists:
CORNISH-***@rootsweb.com
CORNISH-GEN-***@rootsweb.com
CORNISH-ANCESTORS-***@rootsweb.com
CORNISH-FAMILY-***@rootsweb.com

Just put the word subscribe in the subject line and in the body of the
mail omitting any sig file or other text.

It might also be worth looking at http://www.cornish-ancestors.info/

You could also try http://www.familyhistoryonline.net/ It's a PAYG
site but not expensive.

Also, IGI has a baptism record for a Mary Ann Peardon, 6th October
1818 in Altarnun, Batch# P006241. Altarnun is about 3 miles west of
Lewannick.

altohugh the IGI can often be inaccurate, the marriage and baptism I
mentioned both come from "reputable" batch numbers, as it were, and
are both probably worthy of additional investigation.

Cornwall is one county which has lots and lots of online data, much of it
at FamilyHistoryOnline, a website run by the Federation of Family History
Societies.

Entering Stephen Dawe (with variants), baptisms and Cornwall shows
nine entries for baptisms in that name in the Cornwall Baptism Index
between 1590 and 1893. However, this is a pay-per-view website and to
obtain the information I am afraid you will have to register and buy a
subscription, which costs a minimum charge of five pounds. Of course,
there is no guarantee that your Stephen Dawe will be among them, but if
you are researching frequently in Cornwall anyway, you may find it well
worth it.

I am afraid you will have to get used to the idea that genealogical
research costs money and you can't expect others to do it for you for
nothing all the time! It is not the general purpose of this group to act as a
free look-up service. There are a number of experts here, but we are
here to give you advice as HOW to do it for yourself, not do it for you.

Use google and you will find umpteen sources for Cornish research.

I note someone else has found the potential marriage of Stephen Dawe
for you on the IGI. Are you even aware of www.familysearch.org? I note
the IGI has a couple of Stephen Dawe baptisms at Lewannick in 1719
and 1757 who may well be ancestors.
