I am afraid I'm calling on my helpful colleagues once more for guidance!

I have finally worked out how to find NCC wills in Family search using the
information from the Norfolk (UK) records office NROCAT.
I am now trying to suss out the ANW wills (Archdeacony of Norwich). Using
the following examples,

Newgate Alice. 1624 ANW 22/3/11 What does the 22/3/11 mean?

Newgate Robert 1545-1551 ANW, will register, Aleyn, fo 68 I
know Aleyn is the name of the first entry in the book but would, for
example, Aleyn in the NCC wills and Aleyn in the ANW wills give me the same
film number in FamilySearch or are they different? I have a look-up list
relating name (e.g. Aleyn), to the Volume number and FHL Film number for
NCC and wondered if this also would apply to ANW or is this different?

I hope I have expressed this clearly enough.

No idea - but
Family Search : Search: Catalogue: Film/Fiche Number
Enter the film no. you want to know about and hit enter.
That will give you a description of what is on the film

If that film doesn't contain what you want

then Family Search: Search: Catalogue: Place e
nter the place name and hit enter to see a list by category of what
they hold for there, expand a likely category and see what the holdings
are, pick the most likely and proceed from there (either search if they
have been indexed or browse if they haven't)

I do not know about UK wills, but in the US, if you go to the first
couple of pages in the book you will find an index of the book.

This is not the transcribed index, that I am talking about, but the
index placed in the book by the recorder's office when the will was
originally recorded.

You find the first page of each book by using the number of images in
the file, and the number of books/volumes in the file. It there are 3
volumes and 900 images. The first page of Book one will be in the
first pages after image #1, the index for Book Two will be in the first
several pages after image 300, and Book three in the first several pages
after image 600.

You may have to look at the page numbers in the image, and adjust
accordingly to get the first page of the book. If the page number in
image #300, is 450, then the first page of the next book will be in the
images above #300. If 10 it will be in the images before #300.
