Ellen Dunn, aged 51; born in Highworth Wiltshire.

Please can anyone decipher what it says underneath "Paralysed left side"
in the right-hand column?

I'd agree. I was going to say definite on the "From" (even though I
can't find another lower-case m), not sure about the "birth" - looks
more like birtto, which could be a disease as cause (like polio); but
looking at "Highworth", the writer _does_ get a bit enthusiastic with a
loop on a final h, and also with the cross on his ts (three out of four
"Wilts"s cross the l too, so that probably _is_ an h) so indeed "birth".

You make it from scratch?
Yep.
Do you make your own scratch?

Many thanks.

It's so obvious when someone has told you what to look for!
